A Year to Celebrate!
At Grand Cata, we try our best to look on the bright side of things. While 2021 brought more than its fair share of challenges, overall, it was a year that we will remember for getting back together. After a 2020 in which our doors were closed for 150 days, followed by limiting our capacity, 2021 saw us fully open and get back to hosting our beloved tasting events.
To celebrate one of the most memorable years we will ever live through, we have chosen a delectable pair of wines from two neighboring countries in South America. To start, we have a bottle of Brut Nature from one of our favorite Uruguayan producers, Pizzorno. This soft and zippy sparkler spends 10 months on the lees, which adds depth of texture and complexity to the aromas.
For a special, celebration-worthy red, we travel to Argentina for a flawless mountain Malbec grown in two vineyards in Mendoza: one in Gualtallary in Uco Valley, the other in Lujan de Cuyo. The result is concentrated, yet delicate that gifts a medley of black fruits, fresh violets and herbs.
Wine Club is available at both locations starting today. Come say hi and pick up your Wine Club!
