Celebratory Wine Club for All!

Limarí is Gorgeous!

Limarí is Gorgeous!

We are saying adios to 2020 with a different wine club release for a different/challenging year. To celebrate right, you need the perfect wines to pair with your holiday feast at home!

This is why this year we’re focusing on food pairing wines for our annual Celebratory Wine Club! We picked a Sauvignon Blanc from the producer Zorzal in Mendoza, Argentina. The line is called “Eggo,” a play on words that hints at the fact that the winemaker fermented and aged the wine in egg-shaped concrete vats. This process has become very popular in Argentina, and is one of the techniques that differentiates many of the wines coming from Mendoza recently. The resulting wine has weight and texture, with the classic zip of Sauvignon Blanc. This does very well with fresh oysters, roasted poultry, and pork dishes.

The second wine hails from the Limarí Valley in our dear Chile. This northern region is known for its Syrah, which comes out rich but balanced, with ripe dark fruit notes balanced by black pepper spice. Though best with richer dishes, it is elegant enough to pair with beef, pork and duck dishes.

2020 has been both a year to forget and one to remember forever. Let’s say goodbye with good wine and good (limited) company!
